Who is Justice Divine?

Peter Corless is one of the founders of Flowers in the Cracks. He began this blog as a favor for one of the contributing authors, Justice Divine.

Preface

Justice Divine
is an Oakland, California-based authoress currently in the process of transcribing her first full story, From the Minute I Say 'I Do,' on a trusty old Macintosh computer I loaned her this past month. She is currently a featured authoress on Flowers in the Cracks, a project celebrating the creative process and the renewal of life and spirit.

When I sat down with Justice the first time as an editor for the project, I asked to see what she had written. Clear, neat prose. I spotted a typo or omission here and there. Yet otherwise it was eloquent conversational storytelling. Pages after page of it. All hand written. Not a single strike-out. As someone whose penmanship might be best described as a "scrawl," and for whom overwriting, underlining, scratching out and editing mid-stream is my primary nature, for me to see her methodical, clear, looping handwriting was quite a treat. It was tonal, expressing an inner gentility and calmness. Simply delightful! It still leaves me to ponder what typeface we might want to use in the final printed product.

I began this blog to ensure the location, "JusticeDivine.blogspot.com" was reserved for Justice's uses and did so with her permission. Once she's more established and ready, I'll turn this site over to her. For now, Justice can be contacted through myself (petercorless [@] mac.com), or by posting here. In due time you will read more about Justice Divine's story here. For the rest is for Justice to tell herself.

In service of Justice Divine,

- Peter Corless.
